travel united states oregon siletz river
The Siletz River is a small winding waterway that passes through the countryside near the town of Siletz east and north of Newport, Oregon.
It is a favorite river for both boaters and fishermen who hit the stream for spring steelhead and fall salmon .
This was the site of my first excursion in my new kayak in 2016.
The combination of open stream and very light white water was perfect for my first trial run.
I ran a mile or two with my daughter-in-law, Stephanie.
